Our Story
Sankalp is a not-for-profit organisation set up in 1999, dedicated to empowering the lives of children and young adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Specific Learning Disability (SLD) and Intellectual and Developmental Disability (IDD). We provide an individualised hands-on learning and holistic programme, thus enabling our students to be proud participatory stakeholders in society.
Our Founders and Directors proactively ensure that the institution has a team of competent faculty, thus enabling the institution to cater to the varying challenges and developmental requirements of the children & young adults. Sankalp is now approved by the RCI (Rehabilitation Council of India) to conduct the Teacher Training Course “D. Ed Spl. Ed IDD (Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities)”. We aim and wish to build a cadre of highly trained teachers.
Just as a slow-moving caterpillar transforms into a beautiful butterfly, We believe that special children, given the right inputs, will transform into bright, confident and self-reliant young adults. Sankalp wants to be the cocoon for these children.
